شهدت مدينة بريدة ختام موسم حصاد التمور في 9 سبتمبر 2019، بعد أكثر من خمسة وثلاثين يومًا من النشاط المكثف داخل أكبر سوق للتمور في العالم. وقد امتلأت ساحات المهرجان بمئات الشاحنات المحملة بأصناف التمور المتنوعة، وسط حضور واسع من المزارعين والتجار والزوار.
يُعد مهرجان بريدة، الذي يمتد تاريخه لأكثر من ستين عامًا، شريانًا اقتصاديًا واجتماعيًا لأهالي المنطقة، حيث يجمع أكثر من 45 صنفًا من التمور ويتيح فرصًا استثمارية من خلال المزادات اليومية. ووفقًا للمركز الوطني للنخيل والتمور، فإن المملكة تنتج حوالي 1.3 مليون طن من التمور سنويًا، ما يمثل 15% من الإنتاج العالمي. وقد سجلت صادرات التمور السعودية ارتفاعًا ملحوظًا في السنوات الأخيرة، انسجامًا مع أهداف رؤية المملكة 2030 لتعزيز الصادرات غير النفطية.

It showcases more than 45 types of dates and offers investment opportunities through daily auctions. According to the National Center for Palms and Dates, Saudi Arabia produces about 1.3 million tons of dates annually, accounting for 15% of global production. Saudi date exports have seen a notable increase in recent years, aligning with Vision 2030 goals to boost non-oil exports.
